YCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy visits Krishna Karakatta
Amaravati: The YSRCP Malgalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy has visited Krishna river Karakatta area as the floodwater inflow into the Prakasam Barrage is continuously increasing.
As part of his tour, MLA has inspected the Lingamaneni guest house where opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu stay as a tenant and inquired officials over the flood situation.
Speaking to media on Wednesday, MLA Alla RK said that it's the government's responsibility to give protection to the opposition leader and will take the appropriate measures to it. He said heavy floodwater is coming from the Pulichinthala Project. With this, the water levels are entering into Chandrababu's residence.
On the occasion, RK has made satirical comments, that Chandrababu Naidu has fled to Hyderabad out of fear of sinking and to protect the illegal construction, the sandbags are brought in the trucks.
Over the threat of flood, the caretakers have place sandbags to stop the entry of water into the house. MLA also commented that Chandrababu who had predicted the Krishna flood has already shifted the vehicles belonging to the family members to Happy resorts.
RK added that Naidu did not understand the situation earlier as there were no rains and floods during the TDP regime. MLA RK has warned that if not now, but in the near future Chandrababu Naidu has to vacate from this illegal construction.
With the heavy inflow from Pulichinthala Project, the water levels at Prakasam Barrage has reached 12.3 feet. The barrage capacity of 3.07 TMC has completely filled. The inflow is 4.12 lakh cusecs, and outflow is 4.12 lakh cusecs.
The officials said if the floods continue like this, then the Karakatta will completely submerge in the water. In the context, the officials have issued an alert in the low laying areas along the Krishna river downstream.
