Visakhapatnam: Yeleswaram pipeline to end Vizag water woes

Visakhapatnam: Minister of State for Tourism M Srinivasa Rao discussed various project works with the VMRDA Commissioners and Officers in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the water supply from Yeleswaram to Visakhapatnam can be made possible through a direct pipeline project that would cost about Rs 2,000 crore.

This would put an end to water woes in the district, he stated. Further, he added that several industries and funding agencies were also chipping in for the project.

He stated that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has been very positive about the project.

The meeting was attended by VMRDA Chairman Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao, GVMC Commissioner G Srijana, among other officials.
