Visakhapatnam: Cool, breezy and comfy clothes find a prominent place in wardrobes this season as people prepared themselves for sultry days ahead. Keeping pace with ever-evolving fashion trends, the younger generation now looks forward to invest in cotton, khadi, linen and a range of handloom fabrics that go well with their preference.

With 'keep it simple' as the tagline, college-goers indulge in mix-and-match of fabrics this summer. Among others, cotton and linen tops the chart as they not only add an element of comfort but also give a dignified appearance. "In summer, I prefer half-sleeved kurtis with a pair of contrast leggings or palazzos. I complete my look with simple accessories that go well with my braided hair or a ponytail," says Ch Yogitha, a dental college student.

Indo-Western is another style many girls like to adopt for this season. A psychology student Mohua Das, says, "Linen and cotton kurtis paired with flared palazzos offer comfort to me. I make sure that I only wear pastel and neutral shades during summer as they absorb heat and make me feel cool all the day." For some, traditional outfits continue to be their choice.

Pinky, a PG student of Andhra University, says, "Nothing matches the comfort of a pair of cotton churidar. Churidars top my preference list when I step out of the house and at home, I like to don a Tee and a pair of shorts as they make me feel cool." While girls have the liberty to experiment with their choices, boys like to keep it simple. Sk Aabid, a student of GITAM, says, "I go for pastel-shade cotton shirts and a pair of chinos for outdoors. I invest in a pair of sunglasses and a cap to protect myself from scorching sun."
