Youth role vital in nation building: NCC DDG

Kurnool: National Cadet Corps (NCC) Deputy Director General (DDG) and Air Commodore NN Reddy said that youth play crucial role in nation building. Addressing the NCC cadets during his visit to NCC headquarters on Friday, he said the cadets need to strengthen their inter-personal and intra-personal skills, which transform their lives to a vibrant mode.

One can become a leader by hard work and sheer determination, he added. Reddy advised the cadets to improve their communication skills through reading books and searching for information on internet.

He also briefed over joining of armed forces through SSB and NDA and interacted with the ANOs and conveyed his best wishes to them. Reddy also congratulated the group commander and other NCC officials for imparting high standards of training to cadets of Anantapur and Kurnool districts. Earlier, he received guard of honour from the cadets.

Later, he visited Silver Jubilee Government College where he addressed the cadets and ANOs. The DDG was accompanied by the Director Colonel Subir Nag. College Principal Dr K Uma Devi, CTTO Dr Kanna, Kurnool NCC Group Commander Col MP Celestine, 250 cadets, 50 ANOs and CTOs were present.
