YS Jagan appeals for vote for a change
Nellore: YSR Congress Chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy appealed to the city population for a change. He addressed at a roadshow in Stonehousepet area on Thursday and said an inhuman (Rakshas), and corrupt ruling is being experienced by the people currently and he asked for a change in the system where ideals of Rajanna would be installed for the benefit of the poor and needy.
"The ruling party is saying that they had developed an excellent housing complex in the city at Janardhan Reddy Colony for the poor. But, beneficiary don't know that they were cheated by the government where 300 sft house was sold at Rs. 2,000 per square feet instead of actual cost of Rs. 1,000-1,100 per sft. There is a burden of Rs. 3 lakh on them which should be repaid in the coming twenty years. Is this a Government programme meant for the poor?" thundered Jagan. He criticized that the transparent ruling seems to be cheating the people absolutely.
Jagan assured the people that they would waive off total dues of around Rs. 3 lakh to be paid as instalments if they come to power. They needn't to pay the instalments hereafter and asked them to avail the housing allotment and ignore about the loan portion, he said.
YSR Congress Chief said his father YS Rajasekhara Reddy planned Vikrama Simhapuri University a decade ago for providing quality higher education to the poor in the district and it has become a centre for irregularities. He said there are 200 teacher vacancies and how quality education to the poor is possible with such meager staff.
He said the local TDP candidate and Minister P Narayana is behind fall of every educational institution and hence the Government is failing to take measures to improve mechanism in the sector. He charged that Narayana has been planning to make use of the Government system for improving his own educational institution.
He said Yellow Media is propagating local MLA Dr P Anil Kumar as a violent natured person who kills people and threatens them displaying an old video on their channels. He asked the Media why they had failed expose when tens of hostel dwellers and students committed suicides in Narayana institutions and ignored unbearable agony of their parents. Now, these media is showing him as an excellent humanitarian leader, Jagan jested. He explained aspects of his Manifesto, Navaratnalu, in detail and asked the participants to vote for him for a spectacular change in the coming years in the lives of the poor.
