YS Jagan Launched YSR Raithu Bharosa- PM Kisan Scheme In Nellore Today

Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has launched the YSR Raithu Bharosa - PM Kisan Scheme, to alleviate the farmers from all sort of debts by providing a sum of Rs 13,500 per annum on behalf of the state government. The Scheme was launched at Vikrama Simhapuri University in Kakturu village of Nellore district. CM YS Jagan paid homage to Abdul Kalam's portrayal at the inauguration of the Scheme. Earlier, he also paid tribute to the statue of late YS Rajasekhara Reddy.

YS Jagan arrived in Nellore district in a helicopter on Tuesday morning and visited stalls set up by various government departments. Later, he paid floral tributes to YSR statue. After that, the chief minister lit a candle and launched Raithu Bharosa scheme and distributed the cheques to the farmers. Ministers, MLAs, MPs and dignitaries participated in the event.

According to the manifesto, the Scheme has to take its launch in 2020. However, CM YS Jagan launched the Raithu Bharosa - PM Kisan Scheme a year earlier and increased another the amount to 13,500.

SC, ST, BC and minority families will get a total investment of Rs 67,500 for five years. The Scheme applies to 54 lakh beneficiaries, including tenant farmers. Political analysts and farmers say that there is no other CM in the country that has benefited tenant farmers.
