YS Jagan launches Police Duty Meet, alleges opposition of conspiring hatred in the name of religion

Andhra Pradesh: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy made sensational remarks on the destruction of idols in temples in Andhra Pradesh alleging that some political parties are dragging God into politics. Speaking at an AP Police Duty Meet in Tirupati from Tadepalli camp office and made these remarks and said they are working against the government and spreading false propaganda. They are destroying idols of God for political purposes.

Jagan suspected that this was an attempt to mislead the people to tarnish the good name of the government by spreading false propaganda every time welfare schemes are implemented. He fumed that they are destroying temples and preventing publicity for welfare schemes and alleged that such incidents were taking place the day before the launch of the government schemes. He accused that a section of the media alleged that it was being highlighted.


Jagan said it was an attempt to mislead the people so that the government would not get a good name. They are looking to bring a bad name to the government and the police. He alleged that most of the attacks took place in temples under the control of the TDP. "People need to notice who is being targeted and who is committing such evils, whoever says wrong is wrong," Jagan said. He said he would work with the police to put a full stop to such incidents. He said CCTV cameras were already in place in 20,000 temples.
