YS Jagan reviews on ports and airports directs officials to complete construction of ports in next two years

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday reviewed the state's industrial corridors, ports and airports.

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday reviewed the state's industrial corridors, ports and airports. The CM directed the authorities to give first priority to the construction of ports and fishing harbours. He clarified that Machilipatnam and Ramayapatnam ports be constructed in two and half year. He suggested that the special attention be paid to the industrial cluster.

In this backdrop, orders were issued to complete the construction of Bhogapuram Airport as early as possible. Also he directed officials to construct beach road from Bhogapuram Airport to Visakhapatnam City.

CM Jagan directed to prepare DPR on drinking water supply through pipeline from Polavaram to Visakhapatnam and alerted officials to be prepared for laying foundation for the projects by Sankranthi. Minister Gautam Reddy and Industry Special CS Karikala Valavan were present at the meeting. It is known that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy virtually laid foundation stone to four fishing harbours and 25 aqua hubs coinciding with World Fisheries Day and said the construction work will begin from December 15 after the bidding process is complete
