YS Jagan to inspect Polavaram works tomorrow, authorities makes all arrangements
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will visit Polavaram on Monday. To this end, the district authorities have made all arrangements for Chief Minister's Polavaram tour. In this context, he will personally inspect the construction work as well as the spillway and spill channel works. Later, CM Jagan will conduct a review with officials and contractors on the construction work of Polavaram. It is learnt that CM YS Jagan has set a target of completing Polavaram by December 2021.
After CM Jagan became the Chief Minister, Polavaram's work are said to be progressing fast. So far, 2,17, 443 cubic meters of concrete work has been completed on the spillway during the construction of the Polavaram project. Construction of 30 trunion beams has been completed out of 48 key trunion beams in setting up the gates. During the Coronavirus period, 1,10,033 cubic meters of concrete work along with 10,64,417 cubic meters of excavation work was completed on the spill channel. Also, 902 Hill Excavation, Gap 3, Gap 1, Gap 2 works are progressing rapidly.
Meanwhile, CM Jagan took special care to complete the construction of the Polavaram project in a timely manner. Efforts are already underway to raise funds from the centre. CM Jagan persuaded the centre to rectify the mistakes made by the Chandrababu government in 2017 and fetched Rs. 2,234 crore.
