YS Viveka's murder case takes a new twist as High Court to hear all petitions seeking CBI probe on Tuesday

With the petitions after petitions being filed in the high court on the murder of former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy, the case has now become complicated and took a twist. Earlier, Former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy's daughter Sunita, YS Jagan, Vivekananda Reddy's wife Soubhagyaamma, MLC Btech Ravi and former minister Adinarayana Reddy have also filed separate petitions in the High Court demanding that the case be handed over to the CBI.

In the latest development, yet another petition has been filed by Vivekananda Reddy's daughter Sunita. The High Court will reportedly hear all the appeals together on Tuesday, and it remains to be seen whether the court grants the permission to hand over the case to CBI. On the other hand, the government has said to the court that the SIT investigation in the final stage and it is not right to pass the case to the CBI.

YS Vivekananda Reddy was killed on March 14, 2019, at his home ahead of assembly elections, which caused a stir in the Telugu states. There were allegations that the ruling party had conspired the murder. The then government which denied the allegations constituted the SIT for the investigation. However, after the formation of the Jagan Mohan Reddy' became the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, the government has appointed new SIT.
