YSR Arogya Aasara, a unique program in the country: Minister P Ramachandra Reddy

Chittoor: Panchayat Raj Minister P Ramachandra Reddy stated that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has introduced a unique ``YSR Arogya Aasara'' (Post-operative Sustenance) scheme in the state by sanctioning Rs 5,000 per month for the patients after surgical operation under Arogya Sri.

Nowhere in the country, such an innovative scheme was launched, the minister said. The Minister has launched the YSR Arogya Aasara scheme at Government Hospital in the city on Monday. District Collector N B Guptha has explained the features of the new scheme and the role of the doctors to implement it effectively.

Addressing a meeting of the patients and doctors at the hospital, Ramchandra Reddy said that the post-operative scheme will be a boon to the patient after surgery. The government has decided to launch `Nadu Nedu' scheme on 26th December to develop all the Primary Health Centres, Community Health Centres and Area Hospitals. Ambulances will also be provided to the hospitals where there are no Ambulances," he added.

Peddireddy further said thatChief Minister has fulfilled 80 percent ofhis pole promises. MLA A Srinivasulu stressed that the doctors in Government Hospital should rise to the expectations of the poor patients He said that government has been spending huge amounts on Government Hospitals for the welfare of poor patients. Apollo Group of Hospitals convenor Narendra Reddy and others were present.
