YSR Kalyanamastu and YSR Shaadi Tofa scheme funds disbursed to 18,883 beneficiaries
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has disbursed the YSR Kalyanamastu and YSR Shaadi Tofa scheme funds for eligible couples who got married during the April-June quarter of this year from his camp office virtually. CM Jagan expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to launch this beneficial program. He highlighted that the financial assistance is being provided to girls from SC, ST, BC, minority, disabled, and construction worker families through the 'YSR Kalyanamastu' scheme, while girls from Muslim minority communities are supported through the 'YSR Shaadi Tofa' scheme. .
He emphasized that the government distributes funds in four installments each year and criticized the previous government for their lack of genuine efforts in this regard. The CM stressed the importance of education, stating that both the bride and groom must pass the tenth grade to ensure their children receive a good education. He said he firmly believes that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty.
CM Jagan further expressed his aspiration for every woman to pursue a degree, as it would enable them to provide quality education to their children in the future. "The government's objective is to ensure the welfare of all citizens through various schemes and initiatives," YS Jagan said.
