YSR Nethanna Nestam Scheme to be launched on December 21

Nellore: District Collector MV Seshagiri Babu has instructed the concerned authorities to ensure that the YSR Nethanna Nestam scheme to be available to all the eligible handloom weavers in the district.

Speaking at a review meeting with officials of the various departments at collector's camp office, the collector spoke at an advised the authorities to take measures to for the launching event of the scheme on the 21st of this month.

The collector reiterated that the state government has been working on the 'Nestam' program to help the weavers who are in trouble.

As per the prospectus of the scheme, all the eligible beneficiaries will be provided with a financial assistance of Rs. 24000 per annum. "We have identified 5,943 home-grown weavers' families in the district," the collector said. However, the duplication of the beneficiaries was deleted.

The eligible beneficiaries list is made available in concerned secretaries, However, as many as 967 families missing in the list. Considering them, a total of 6,852 eligible lists have been prepared.

The collector then suggested that the beneficiaries are identified as per the rules and regulations. He said steps should be taken to deposit cash in the beneficiaries' bank accounts.

Handloom ADO Prasada Rao, handloom service centre assistant general manager Janardhan and others were present in the meeting.
