YSR Vahana Mithra programme launched

Tirupati: YSR Vahana Mithra, a scheme to provide financial assistance of Rs.10000 to eligible auto, taxi and maxi cab drivers has been launched in Tirupati on Friday.

Chittoor MP K Reddeppa has formally given the letter of sanctioning financial assistance to auto drivers after the programme was formally inaugurated by the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in Eluru. His speech was telecasted live at the Srinivasa auditorium in Tirupati where the programme has been held.

Among the applicants, 12300 eligible drivers were selected by the authorities. Collector Narayana Bharat Gupta, Chittoor MLA A Sreenivasulu, Satyavedu MLA Koneti Adimulam, MLC Y Sreenivasulu Reddy, DTC Basireddy and RTO G Vivekananda Reddy participated in the programme.
