YSR Vahana Mitra Scheme To Be Launched On October 4: Visakha Stands Top In The Beneficiaries List
The government has decided to provide financial assistance of Rs.10,000 to auto, taxi and maxi cab drivers. Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy is implementing the scheme to provide financial security for the lives of auto and taxi drivers. Visakha is ranked number one in the list of most beneficiaries of the YSR Vahana Mitra.
Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has been working on innovative schemes to ensure financial security for every category of worker. As part of this, YSR Vahana Mitra scheme is introduced which will provide financial assistance of Rs10,000 to the drivers who buy autos, maxi cabs and taxis and depend on them.
Eligible beneficiaries were selected from September 14 to 25. Applications are received online and offline. The beneficiaries were identified based on the Aadhaar card, white ration card, vehicle registration certificate, driving license, bank passbook details. Visakhapatnam is ranked number one in the state. At the same time, GVMC is the largest beneficiary.
A total of 1,75,345 applications were received across the state and 1,73,180 applicants were identified as beneficiaries. In Visakha district, 24,636 applications were received, and 24,527 applications were accepted. Visakha district has the highest number of beneficiaries.
GVMC tops the number of applications received by city panchayats, municipalities and corporations. Out of the 24,527 beneficiaries identified in Vishakha district, 11,477 were eligible for the YSR Vahana Mitra Scheme.
