According to information, followers of rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy have developed a real estate venture at Golagamudi village of Venkatachalam mandal. Owners of the layout appealed to the local MPDO to provide water connection to the lay-out. But Venkatachalam MPDO Sarala delayed the process as she was busy with the selection of candidates as part of Gram Sachivalayam recruitment.

MPDO stated in her complaint that MLA Sridhar Reddy threatened her over phone demanding water connection to the lay-out. On Friday night, MLA along with his followers reportedly disrupted power supply and cable connection to her residence in Kallurupalli.

Nellore rural Police registered a case against the MLA Sridhar Reddy and also against his followers. B Srikanth Reddy was an accused in cricket betting case in the past. Meanwhile, YSRC leader Srikanth Reddy said that GPR Green Avenue is having permissions from NUDA and also under Real estate (regulation and development) Act, 2016 (RERA).

'Krishna Reddy, the owner of the layout, approached me with a request to provide water connection to the lay-out. When I contacted Venkatachalam MPDO Sarala, she demanded some bribe in the name of MLA Sridhar Reddy, he said.
