YSRCP afraid of backlash from BC, SC, ST, Minorities: Chandrababu Naidu
Amaravati: TDP national president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday called upon all sections of people being victimised by the YSRCP government to rally together and wage a relentless battle against the ruling party's atrocities and oppression.
Naidu asserted that the people would have nothing to lose if they agitated except the fact that the ruling party would file false cases and make illegal arrests. The Jagan regime was scared of facing a backlash from the BC, SC, ST and Muslim minorities which was they were creating hurdles for the local body elections.
Addressing a meeting with the party mandal committee leaders from all over the state, the TDP chief said that the ruling party leaders were afraid of being routed in the polls if they were to be held immediately. They were scared that all the victimised sections of society would become united and defeat their candidates. This Chief Minister would not discourage atrocities but he would encourage miscreants and their atrocities. Everybody was suffering because of the irresponsible administration.
The TDP chief stressed on the need for a united effort of all the affected sections to give a tough fight against the oppressive regime. Muscle power would not stand in front of a people's revolt. If the state was not rid of the YSRCP menace, it would further slip into chaos and anarchy. The responsibility to save AP would now rest upon the shoulders of each and every citizen of the state, he said.
Naidu asked what wrong did Abdul Salaam family do that they were terrified to the extent of committing joint suicide. Just for questioning soil digging in Muslim graveyard, Moezzin Hanif was harassed and made to attempt suicide. "Was it a crime to oppose illegal soil digging? Varaprasad was targeted and tonsured for boldly questioning and opposing the sand mafia. Another member of minority community was forced to attempt suicide in front of the Rajahmundry SP office itself just for demanding action against those who molested his daughter," he said.
