YSRCP candidates list 2019 include 15 doctors, 9 All India Service employees
The YSRCP released the list of 175 candidates for assembly polls in Andhra Pradesh which included 15 doctors and nine had worked in All India Services. Around 40 sitting MLAs have been allocated ticket this time and three MLCs were given MLA tickets.
Among the list, 12 are former ministers, 37 former MLAs, 2 former MPs and one former MLC. The list also contains 98 graduates, 41 postgraduates. Overall, 139 candidates hold a degree and other higher educational qualifications. The list showed that a large number of candidates are highly educated and academically qualified.
A perusal of the YSRCP list shows that 33 of the candidates are less than 45 years of age. Those between 45 and 60 years are 98. Only 44 are above 60 years of age. Among the candidates are 9 who have worked in All India services while 15 are doctors. As many as 41 are postgraduates and 98 are graduates. Thus 139 of the candidates are graduates or above.
As many as 40 are sitting MLAs, while 119 had earlier contested as MPs, MLAs and have been ministers. As many as 12 have been ministers some time or the other. There are 37 former MLAs and two MPs.
The BC community has been well represented in the list. 15 of the candidates are women. Thus Jagan and his party's senior leaders have done a lot of homework to ensure that the list is truly representatives of the diversity and quality.
