YSRCP clarifies its stand in NRC and NPR, says they are against the controversial bills
YSRCP Lok Sabha leader Mithun Reddy has said that the party is against the controversial NRC and NPR laws introduced by the central government. He believes that these laws have increased the insecurity among the minorities in the country. He said that the information being asked in the NPR is quite different from the past and that all these matters should be discussed in Parliament.
Mithun Reddy attended Thursday's all-party meeting at the Parliament Library building in the wake of the budget sessions, which begins on Friday. Speaking at a press conference in Delhi, he said the party is against the NRC and the NPR. YSR Congress Parliamentary Party leader Vijayasai Reddy was also present at the meeting. At the all-party meeting, they requested the government to release the pending funds for the state.
Speaking about council dissolution, Vijayasai Reddy said that the council resolution will be sent to union home secretary than to the law department and later it reaches cabinet for approval. "Then follows the Parliamentary procedure of introducing the bills in both the houses, " Vijaysai asserted.
