YSRCP government failed to resolve water crisis: TDP

Kurnool: TDP district president Somisetty Venkateswarlu came down heavily on YSRCP government for not mitigating drinking water shortage in the city. The TDP functionaries led by Somisetty have visited the Summer Storage (SS) tank and Sunkesula Barrage on Friday and checked the water levels.

Addressing a press conference at the TDP office here, the party district chief stated that water levels have reached dead storage. Less than 0.15 tmcft of water left in Sunkesula Barrage and even less in the SS tank, he mentioned and added that water available would barely meet the drinking water needs for 10 days.

If rationed then it could last till the end of the month, he claimed. The TDP leader blamed the ruling government for water crisis. Somisetty slammed two Ministers from the district for not touring the affected villages and towns.
