YSRCP government implementing 90 per cent of assurances in the first year-Finance Minister

Kadapa: State Finance Minister B.Rajendranath Reddy has said that government is committed for implementation of all assurances made by the chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy during the 2019 electioneering. Speaking to media persons here on Friday he said that about 90 per cent of assurances like issuing house sites, Rythu Barossa, Ammavadi, etc are being implemented in the first year by inducting them in the current budget. He said among them Ammavadi is the most important scheme being taken up by state government first of its kind in the country.

The finance minister pointed out the previous TDP government implemented very few assurances against 650 mentioned in the party manifesto. While defending his government stand over the cancellation of loan waiver to the farmers, he pointed out that the previous government mentioned Rs 14,000 crores in its budget against Rs 82,000 crores loan waiver to the farmers. He alleged that Rs 14,000 was paid to Podupulakshmi groups against Rs 28,000 crores. He said YSR Congress government has decided to provide house site for 25lakh people entire state on Ugadi day.

State housing minister C.Sriranganatha Raja said as many as 1.60lakh eligible were identified for providing house sites in YSR Kadapa district. He said the government will pay Rs 2lakhs to each beneficiary for construction of house remaining would be arranged as a loan from the banks for Pavala Vaddi.

Revenue minister P.Subas Chandra Bose who also participated in the press meet disclosed that 2,315 acres of government land was identified under this scheme and 35,600 acres are required for the purpose. He said remaining land would be acquired from private persons by spending Rs 85 crores. Party leaders were present.
