YSRCP MLA tested COVID19 positive, death toll crosses double century in AP
Amaravati: In a shocking development for the ruling YSRCP, its MLA Kilari Rosaiah of Ponnuru Assembly segment in Guntur district was tested positive for the COVID19. Confirming the same, the MLA explained that despite suffering from the virus, he did not develop any symptoms like cough, fatigue or others, in a video released by himself on Friday.
At the same time, in a bid to give moral support to the people, he openly admitted his disease and explained that he was undergoing treatment and taking all protective measures at the home itself, as he is in Home Isolation. The MLA said that he will be available for the constituency people to solve their problems and they can be contacted through his mobile number.
On the other hand, in the State, the total COVID19 death toll crossed double century as on Friday. As per the bulletin released by the Medical and Health department, a total of 206 civilians died so far, including the new seven on Friday. Among the thirteen districts, Kurnool 73 and Kirshna 68 recorded the highest number of deaths. There are 19 deaths in Guntur, 9 in Anantapur, 8 each in Chittoor and East Godavari, 6 in Nellore, 3 each in Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam, 4 in West Godavari, 2 each in Vizianagaram and Prakasam and the least reported in Kadapa, only 1 death.
At the same time, the COVID19 positive cases also recorded an all-time record in the State in the last 24 hours. 837 new patients tested positive for Coronavirus in the State. With these latest figures, the tally mounted to 16,934 and out of them at least 9,096 patients have been undergoing treatment and 7,632 discharged apart from 206 deaths.
