Kakinada: YSRCP leaders Pendem Dorababu, Dwarampudi Chandrasekhara Reddi and Koppana Mohana Rao on Wednesday met East Godavari SP Vishal Gunni and sought his intervention on Uppada issue.

It may be recalled that two YSRCP activists were arrested at Uppada under Pithapuram Assembly constituency on Tuesday which led to wide spread protests at Uppada police station limits by locals. According to police, they have acted on a complaint by Pithapuram sitting MLA S V S N Varma, who also contested for MLA seat in the polls conducted on April 11.

The leaders reminded the SP on the day of polling, the YSRCP also lodged a complaint against the MLA. But the police acted on MLA's complaint after 26 days ignoring the complaint of YSRCP. The leaders appealed to SP to act on the complaint of YSRCP also. Meanwhile the three leaders visited the two YSRC activists at Kakinada sub-jail and expressed their solidarity with them.
