Ford introduces new Thunder Edition of EcoSport SUV
Ford has launched a new limited edition variant of its EcoSport compact SUV, christened as Thunder. Based on the Titanium variant, the new EcoSport Thunder has been offered as a replacement for the model's Signature trim. It is available in both petrol and diesel engine versions.
The new Thunder Edition gets smart exterior changes with dark inserts on the headlamp cluster and a more prominent black treatment to the fog lamp bezel, front grille and rear view mirrors. It also gets new 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-tone bonnet and decals on doors along with a dark theme throughout the exteriors.
On the interior, the Ford EcoSport Thunder gets a sporty theme with brown accents on the front seats, door panels, central console and instrument panel. The Thunder Edition gets a standard electric sunroof and a 9.0-inch infotainment system with embedded navigation, voice commands and other in-car connectivity features.
The engine options include a 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol mill that makes a power of 121bhp and a 1.5-litre DV5 diesel motor churning out maximum power of 99bhp. Both the engines come paired with a 5-speed Manual gearbox. Automatic transmission option is unavailable on the EcoSport Thunder Edition.
Ford has priced the EcoSport Thunder Edition Petrol variant at Rs.10.18 lakhs and the Thunder Edition Diesel variant at Rs.10.68 lakhs (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
