CCB arrests 4 peddlers, drugs worth 1 crore seized

Bengaluru: Ahead of the New Year the Central Crime Branch (CCB) has arrested four international drug peddlers. The estimated value of drugs seized is said to be Rs 1 crore.

The arrested peddlers included M. Tirupal (32), Kamleshan (31), Satish Kumar (27) and Ejaz Pasha (45). The police seized 5.6 kg hash oil, three kg marijuana, a car and a bicycle from them.

CCB Joint Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil said, "In an important crackdown on drugs by the CCB it was found that drugs were brought and stocked for distribution during New Year. The four peddlers have been arrested and narcotics worth Rs 1 crore seized."

Kingpin of cocaine smuggling Chidiebere Ambrose, called 'Chief' was arrested by the CCB recently. The CCB found that foreign drug peddlers were in touch with him and bought cocaine from the 'Chief'. Mr Kamal Pant said that the police team will be given a reward of Rs 50,0000 for arresting and seizing such a large quantity of drugs.
