Shwetha Srivatsav to play KAS officer in her comeback film
Bengaluru: Shwetha Srivatsav who took a break to enjoy motherhood is now ready to make her comeback after a gap of four years. The actor made her mark with Suni's 'Simple Agi Ondh Love Story' and she was last seen in Sumana Kittur's 'Kiragoorina Gayyaligalu'. Shwetha is all set to don the role of KAS (Karnataka Administrative Services) officer in 'Hope', which is touted to be a woman-centric movie.
Speaking to The Hans India, Shwetha Srivatsav said, "It has been four and half years that I have remained far from acting. Though I enjoyed a lot spending time with my daughter, I still missed acting. I thought that I would be offered only supporting roles now that things have changed. However, that proved wrong. I have got a perfect comeback offer."
'Hope' is being directed by Ambarisha M who has directed a couple of films such as 'Jwalantham' and 'Kalantaka'. It is claimed that the film seeks to highlight frequent transfers faced by top administrative officials who undergo many difficult situations and the public never get to know them. The film to be shot in various locations across Karnataka is in the final leg of the first schedule.
"I was waiting for a subject that will match the present situation and as a storyline to be connected to the audience and this 'Hope' is one among them. I play a KAS officer in the film called Shivani. She's an officer who is more humane and is a people's person and also a mother too and her journey made me connect to the character on a personal level. The team has planned very well for presenting the film on screen which is very much needed now because our boundary is getting bigger and bigger. Also, the audience can get any language film in fingertip through OOT and start comparing. So, I am sure 'Hope' will enlighten people about unsung officers" Shwetha Srivatsav added.
