Six men chase businessman for 6 km on busy road, rob him of `2.7 lakh, Rolex
Bengaluru: In a film style, six men driving on three bikes chased a businessman for six km on busy Banaswadi Road and robbed him of Rs 2.70 lakh and a Rolex watch worth Rs 6 lakh. The incident happened on November 11 when Sameel, a businessman from Kerala, was going in his SUV on the busy road. The police launched investigation after receiving a complaint from the business man who came to the city a couple of months ago.
The police found the sensational robbery recorded on the CCTV footage. Sameel came to deposit Rs 3 lakh in ICICI Bank Kalyan Nagar branch. As it was lunch break for the bank staff, Sameel returned to his car and reached Banaswadi main road via Kammanahalli. The six men riding on three bikes followed Sameel for about six kilometers.
The CCTV footage showed the gangsters chasing Sameel. When he reached a restaurant at Banaswadi main road, they smashed the car glass and robbed Sameel of money and the watch. The accused are yet to be identified, said a police official. The case has been registered with the Banaswadi police station.
