Three more infected with UK Covid strain

Bengaluru: Three more UK returnees have been found to be infected with the mutated strain of coronavirus, Health Minister Dr K. Sudhakar said on Friday. With this, the total number of patients who were infected with the new Covid strain went up to 10 in the State.
It was earlier reported that a family of four including two children from Shivamogga, a woman and her child and another man in Bengaluru were found carrying the new variant of coronavirus. All of them are being treated in government facilities. The minister said the home department was yet to track 75 people who returned from England after November 25. The minister told reporters that of the 75 people, 70 were within the limits of Bengaluru.
