All train services suspended from midnight tonight till March 31
Indian Railways has decided to suspend all passenger train operations from midnight today till midnight, March 31, 2020. The decision will have an impact on premium trains, mail/express trains, passenger trains, suburban trains, Kolkata Metro Rail, Konkan Railways trains till 2400 hours of March 31.
However, a bare minimum level of suburban trains and Kolkata Metro rail services will continue till midnight. The final decision on this was taken during a meeting of the Railways board today.
Railways Minister Piyush Goyal announced the decision today to contain the Coronavirus, COVID -19 out-break.
Strengthening precautions against COVID-19, Railways has decided that no passenger train will run up to 31st March.

Trains which began their journey before 4 AM this morning will be allowed to continue their journey. Goods train will continue to operate to ensure essential supplies across the country.
The Railways Ministry has also offered full refunds to all passengers affected by train cancellations up to March 31, 2020.
