AP Industries Minister to lead delegation to DEFEXPO
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Minister for Industries & Commerce, IT Mekapati Goutham Reddy is leading the State's delegation to DEFEXPO 2020 in Lucknow which would be held from February 5 to 9.
The Minister will be accompanied by the State delegation that includes Dr Rajat Bhargav, Special Chief Secretary, Industries & Commerce, JVN Subramanyam, Commissioner of Industries, Commerce, & Export Promotion, CEO, APEDB, Sridhar Lanka, Adviser and delegates from the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) and Industries department.
The State has been a regular partner over the years at the DEFEXPO, attended by Defence Ministers of States, Service Officers of the Indian armed forces and 35 countries, Heads of various International defense establishments, aerospace and defense public sector units (PSUs), Ordnance Factory Boards (OFBs), world renowned OEMs in the aerospace and defence manufacturing such as Airbus, Lockheed Martin, SAAB, Boeing, among other Indian partners.
Over 1,000 companies from nearly 70 countries will take part in the biggest-ever DefExpo to be held in Lucknow from February 5-9, the Defence Ministry said. The number of foreign companies participating in the expo has also increased to 165 from 160 previously. In the earlier edition of the DefExpo held in Chennai, 702 companies had participated.
At DEFEXPO India 2020, Gautham Reddy will strengthen the State's network with the global aerospace and defence industry players, promote the State as an investment destination for the aerospace and defence manufacturing by exploring collaborations to leverage the ecosystem offered by the existing defense units PSUs present in the state.
He will be contributing as a speaker in two sessions and will participate in 15 high level bilateral meetings over the two days--February 5th and 6th strengthening the state's image as number one investment destination in India.
