Equity benchmarks ended at fresh all-time highs on Monday. In the intraday trade, S&P Sensex touched a new high of 55,680.75, while the Nifty 50 index touched a fresh peak of 16,589.40. The S&P BSE Sensex rose 145.29 points or 0.26 per cent and closed at 55,582.58. The Nifty 50 index also rose 33.95 points or 0.21 per cent to close at 16,563.05.
