CREDAI Telangana creates waves in Israel
How did NATCON-19 go off?
The mega conference which was organised with the theme 'Resilience to Excellence', went off very well. It was a mega success. Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, addressed the conference via video conference. We have received 1,208 registrations for the conference.
As many as 220 developers from Telangana attended it. Andhra Pradesh accounted for 150 developers. It is for the first time that CREDAI's NATCON has received such a large number of registrations. That way, the conference was a blockbuster. We are very happy that we were the host for the 19th edition of the annual event which received record registrations. We could organise it flawlessly.
The planning was so meticulous that we could complete even hotel checks-in within minimum time. We booked three hotels for the conference. The CREDAI Telangana took the entire responsibility of organising the event. We constituted a team which did a great job.
What issues did the three-day meet focus on?
We discussed many issues. We had separate sessions on technology, youth and human resources. The conference also discussed about Israeli way of working. Israel is known for technology.
They have good desalination technology which turns sea water into usable water. Furthermore, over 80 per cent of water used in that country is recycled. We need to emulate this and see to it that more and more water is recycled in our country.
What is the major takeaway from the conference?
Israel is a great country and known for its resilience. It is surrounded by countries which fight with it. Still, it fights back.
That way, it can be considered as greatest country in the world. Good thing is that every male person who crosses 18 years has to serve in the army for three years. Women have to serve for two years. It's mandatory. Besides, Israel is the biggest hub for startups. Most of the world's big companies have their roots in Israel.
Has CREDAI made any recommendations to the central government?
There are no specific recommendations or demands from the convention. The objective of the convention is to share and gain knowledge.
However, we issued a statement seeking reduction in interest rates on housing loans, especially for affordable housing. We also demanded the removal of ban on interest
subvention scheme announced by the National Housing Bank (NHB).
