Sensex climbs 612 points & Nifty to trade above 16,950
Equity benchmarks, S&P BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 index, jumped around one and a half per cent on Tuesday, December 7, 2021. The Sensex index climbed 886.51 points or 1.56 per cent to 57,633.65. The Nifty 50 also surged 264.45 points or 1.56 per cent to 17,176.70. 45 stocks rose on the Nifty 50 index while five stocks declined.
