Gold and silver rates today 06 June 2020: Gold rates in Indian edged higher today on Saturday in flow with an advance in global markets. On MCX, gold futures rose 0.25% to ₹46,124 per 10 gram. Silver rates were flat at 48,480 per kg. Silver rates have slumped over ₹2,000 per kg in the previous two sessions.

In global markets, gold rates moved higher but remained near their lowest in over a week as equities extended their gains on reopening of economies.

Going by the gold rates at four major cities such as Banglore, Hyderabad, Kerala and Visakhapatnam, the gold rates are choppy depending on the cities and the type of gold. The gold rates in silicon city Bangalore have seen a hike of Rs. 250 taking it to Rs. 43,800 and Rs. 250 increased to 47,760 per ten gram of 22 carat and 24 carat gold respectively. While in Hyderabad, the yellow metal has spiked up by Rs 190 per ten gram of 22 carat gold to Rs. 44,750 and Rs. 190 per ten gram of 24 carat gold to Rs. 48,830.

The gold rates have remained stable in Kerala with prices at Rs. 42,800 and Rs. 46,800 per ten gram of 22 carat and 24 carat gold. And in Visakhapatnam, the same trends followed as of Hyderabad with hike of Rs. 190 to Rs. 44,750 per ten gram of 22 carat while the ten-gram of 24 carat gold is up by Rs. 190 to Rs. 48,830.
