HDFC Bank's advances grew 16% in December quarter

India's largest private sector lender HDFC Bank on Tuesday released quarterly updates of the Q3FY21. It said the bank's advances grew by 16 per cent to Rs 10,820 billion as of December 31, 2020, as compared to Rs 9,360 billion as of December 31, 2019. It grew around 4 per cent as compared to Rs 10,383 billion as of September 30, 2020.

The Bank's deposits grew by 19 per cent to approximately Rs 12,710 billion as of December 31, 2020, as compared to Rs 10,674 billion as of December 31, 201. It is a growth of around 3 per cent as compared to Rs 12,293 billion as of September 30, 2020.

The Bank's CASA ratio stood at around 43 per cent as of December 31, 2020, as compared to 39.5 per cent as of December 31, 2019 and 41.6 per cent as of September 30, 2020.

During the quarter ended December 31, 2020, the Bank purchased loans aggregating Rs 70.76 billion through the direct assignment route under the home loan arrangement with Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited.
