Heritage Foods distributes cattle feed to farmers
Hyderabad: As part of Heritage Farmers Welfare Trust activities, Heritage Foods on Tuesday distributed cattle feed free of cost to farmers in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and other regions across India, wherever the company has a presence under the Trust.
The Trust was formed to synergise long-term shareholders and enhance value creation with enhanced rural social capital by empowering farmers.
The trust also distributed milk cans, milk analysers and feeding bowls among other things to farmers through various farmer development activities.
The company has also established Mobile Vet Clinics to expose them to new technologies about good milk practices through various video programmes in AP, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan and Maharashtra.
The company treats sick animals and provides medicines free of cost at Mobile Vet Clinics.
Commenting on the development, Brahmani Nara, Executive Director, Heritage Foods Ltd; said, "Heritage plays a much larger role of enabling dairy farming with a variety of programs like cattle feed distribution, free veterinary care, reducing risk through insurance policies (farmer & cattle) and by facilitating flow of credit.
