Honda holds awareness drive in Kakinada
Hyderabad: Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Private Limited (HMSI) said it held National Road Safety Awareness programme at Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh. Under this initiative more than 2,000 students of Sri Ramkrishna Public School took pledge to make roads safer.
Spread over three days, the programme covered topics on traffic rules and road discipline. HMSI said, since the national flag-off of this initiative a year ago, Honda two wheelers India has educated over 2.60 lakh school and college students, on road safety, in more than 120 cities.
Prabhu Nagaraj, Vice President, Brand & Communication, HMSI, said: "We are pro-actively inculcating safe riding habits in the society.
The National Road Safety Awareness programme is a step towards transforming children of today and safer future for tomorrow."
The activities held at the school included interactive session, practical learning, safety riding theory session was conducted for the kids in the age group of 13-17 years along with teachers, special rider training activity for children above 16 years was executed besides, educational activities like road safety games and quizzes was also conducted.
