Hyderabad's Srikanth Bolla makes it to the list
Hyderabad: Srikanth Bolla, Chairman and CEO, Bollant Industries, has made it to the World Economic Forum's (WEF) 'Young Global leaders 2021' list. He was the first international blind student in brain and cognitive science and business at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Born in Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh, he completed his schooling in Devnar Blind School, Hyderabad. He won the case in court to get the permission to pursue the science stream in intermediate and become the first student in the country to study science stream.
In 2005, he was a youth leader and trainer for Lead India 2020, a national youth movement started by former President of India APJ Abdul Kalam.
Bolla started Bollant Industries in 2012 by employing and training differently-abled persons to manufacture eco-friendly and compostable packaging.
