Oyo to invest Rs 100 crores on Vizag operations

Hyderabad: Oyo Hotels & Homes, owners of chain of leased and franchised hotels, homes, managed living and workspaces, aims at investing Rs 100 crore towards capex, infrastructure and talent in Visakhapatnam in the coming days.

The company aims to create over 5,500 direct and indirect employment opportunities for hospitality professionals in Andhra Pradesh in the next one year.

Visakhapatnam is a key market for us and has been performing really well since launch. As the largest city and the economic hub of Andhra Pradesh, one of India's fastest-growing states, we continue to invest in expanding our footprint and serve thousands of customers in the city.

We aim to have at least 10 Oyo Townhouses in the city by the end of 2019". Since our launch in Visakhapatnam in 2016, we've worked closely with small and independent hotel owners and utilized our deep expertise in standardizing amenities and guest experiences to empower them as better hospitality players.

In the coming year, we aim at strengthening these partnerships and supporting the state's vision while continuously creating and delivering outstanding opportunities for business growth, fostering all-round socio-economic development for the State and its people, he added.

Currently present in India across 300 cities across 10,000 leased and franchised buildings and over 200,000 rooms, Oyo's mission is to upgrade all forms of real estate and thereby provide quality living spaces to travellers around the world.
