Scania displays new truck range in Karimnagar
Hyderabad: Scania AB, a Sweden-based commercial vehicle manufacturer, on Wednesday said it held an event Sampark, to introduce a new range of trucks in Karimnagar, Telangana.
The trucks are designed to aide transport solutions in the sectors of mining, construction and long-haulage business.
The auto maker said this event was held for the mining customers, as southern States in India have several mining sites and high presence of mining customers.
The event witnessed participation of representatives from these organisations operating in the region. Going forward, the plan is to hold Sampark at regular intervals in pre-defined locations with a high density of trucking operations, it added. Petr Novotny, Managing Director, Scania India, said: "Post the introduction of the New Truck Generation (NTG) range here in Karimnagar, we aim to reach out to every regional market in India where our customers are present."
Novotny further said, as India moves closer to the implementation of BS6, Scania is equipped with NTG which is BS6 ready integrated with an upgraded powertrain, will result in higher load carrying capacity, fuel efficiency, and uptime.
