Skipper-Metzer India inaugurates its first manufacturing plant in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Skipper-Metzer India LLP, which is a partnership between Skipper, engaged in water infrastructure of India and drip irrigation major Metzer, Israel on Tuesday announced the grand opening of its new factory in Hyderabad, India.

The company held an on-site ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 29, 2019.The facility was inaugurated by Dr Hugo Chaufan, chairman of Metzer Group and SK Bansal, MD of Skipper Limited.

The 2.50 acres facility has an annual manufacturing capacity of 880 Lakh meters /annum of various drip and sprinkler irrigation products.

The plant incorporates cutting-edge Israeli technologies and has been designed with the flexibility to enable smart, connected manufacturing technologies which will support improved process efficiency, delivery and quality.

Bansal said: "We are committed in bringing the latest technologies & products strengthening the micro irrigation industry through our association with Metzer which falls in line with the culture of Skipper in providing "Make in India" quality products."

"Metzer is dedicated to support SMIL in supplying superior, technologically advanced micro irrigation systems to service the Indian markets by giving access to latest products and technologies developed by Metzer from time to time" said Hugo Chaufan.

He also emphasized that "Our partnership with Skipper Limited highlights the need and importance of quality micro irrigation systems provided by Metzer to Indian farming community in their endeavours to improve quality yield and farm productivity."
