States asked to emulate Telangana startup model
Hyderabad: The newly created State of Telangana continues to inspire policy makers with its innovative and path-breaking policies. In a latest development, an expert committee report on 'Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise' stated that 'Telangana has adopted an innovative model for startups, which may be assessed for possible replication in other states.'
In a report submitted by the U K Sinha Committee has explained the Telangana State's startup model. And in their recommendations, it has suggested that all the other states should replicate the Telangana model.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) constituted this panel under the leadership of former Sebi Chairman U K Sinha.
The committee has submitted a report to the RBI Governor in June 2019. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, this week, stated that the Union Government will be considering the recommendations of the U K Sinha Committee report soon.
The committee, under the Chairmanship of U K Sinha, had interacted with various stakeholders across the country and international experts before submitting the report. The committee also deliberated on all aspects relating to startups in India.
