Hyderabad: Telangana Industrialists Federation (TIF) on Monday hailed the steps announced by Telangana Chief Minister and TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao in the GHMC election manifesto to help in the post-Covid recovery of the industry.

"The local industrial segment, especially SME & MSME, were badly affected by the corona crisis and the resultant harsh lockdown. TIF has on this occasion appealed to the Telangana for relief in the minimum electricity charges for LT & HT power. We are pleased to note this demand is being conceded by the CM and hope this positive step will benefit budding entrepreneurs & MSME industrialists," K Sudhir Reddy, president, TIF said in a statement.

TIF expresses satisfaction with the abolition of MV Tax for transport vehicles for the period of March-September. Together with the relief of 50 per cent on property tax and 90 per cent reduction in late payment penalty, this should alleviate the burden of the distressed industrial segment, he added. TIF also welcomed the CM's announcement of elevated ring roads and regional ring roads as connectivity will help improve industrial efficiency and usher in prosperity.

He further said that TIF remained committed to the all-round progress of Telangana State and will continue to work with the State government. TIF is a federation 30 industry associations and has hundreds of industrialists and entrepreneurs as members all over Telangana. TIF has been in the forefront of industrial progress particularly in SME/MSME segments.
