Union Bank opens new regional office
Hyderabad: Union Bank of India announced that it opened new regional office in Khammam, taking the number of regions in Telangana to nine.
"A new region namely Khammam has been added to the Telangana Zone which now has nine regional offices in total," Kare Bhaskara Rao, Field General Manager, Telangana, said in a statement.
The nine regional offices are Hyderabad-Koti, Hyderabad-Saifabad, Hyderabad-Punjagutta, Secunderabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Mahabubnagar, Nizamabad and Warangal, he added.
On Sunday, Union Bank of India rolled out 125 regional offices across the country. The opening of regional office in Khammam is part of this nation-wide roll-out.
Speaking at a virtual launch event of the roll-out, Rajkiran Rai G, MD & CEO, Union Bank of India, said, "With this, we have achieved one of the most significant milestones in the amalgamation journey. From an organizational perspective, all three banks are now almost completely integrated."
Following the recent amalgamation of Andhra Bank & Corporation Bank into Union Bank of India on April 1, 2020, Union Bank of India's footprint has grown to include a pan-Indian network of over 9,500 branches and over 13,500 ATMs. Post amalgamation, Union Bank of India is now India fifth largest public-sector bank and fourth largest banking network, with a branch in every state of the country.
