Nellore District has recorded 5.58 percent of votes in the first hour. Apart from Kavali Constituency has registered 7.70 highest voting percentage while Sarvepalle registered lowest 4.40 percentage in the 1st hour.

Aprar from Kandukuru 6.8, Kavali 7.70, Nellore City 5.07, Nellore Rural 7.02, Kovuru 6.03, Udayagiri 4.75, Atmakuru 7.45, Sarvepalle 5.88 total 5.88% recorded.

However District Collector and District Electoral Officer M. Harinarayanan has admitted over defunctioning of EVM's said that electoral procudures have been restored by replacing new EVM's. He said that polling is going on smooth and fair manner. He said no untowards officially reported  so far.
