Fire breaks out at Visakhapatnam steel plant

A fire broke out at the Visakhapatnam steel plant in TPC-2 on Wednesday morning. The massive fire accident occurred when the turbine oil leaked. In the accident, 1.2 MW of electric motors were burnt resulting in property damage, which is estimated at around Rs 2 crore. Fire crews descended on the field and put out the blaze while the authorities are investigating the accident. Full details of the fire are yet to be known.
