'Annatthe' release in summer 2021?

'Man proposes, God disposes' is a very famous saying which is self-explanatory. It applies totally to the efforts of Superstar Rajinikanth who is featured in a family social themed film 'Annatthe', currently under production.

Quickly wrapping up two films in less than 18 months, after a disastrous phase in the last few years, Rajini was banking on the success of his forthcoming film to ride comfortably on to the political world, by early next year. Tamil Nadu is expected to go to polls in less than a year from now and this election is likely to be the 'now or never' time for the 70-year old icon.

However, the pandemic called coronavirus has struck down every well-laid down plan of the unchallenged supremo of southern film industry. His film, which was due to be out by the third quarter of 2020 is now facing uncertain release schedule. With theatres remaining shut and expected to be so for a longer period than estimated, the film would have to wait for an opportune time. Observers say it may be summer of next year, by which time political temperature would be high in TN.
