2 Years Of URI: Yami Gautam Opens Up On How The Movie Changed Things For Her

Bollywood's ace actress Yami Gautam who is busy with a couple of projects, has reminisced the blockbuster movie 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' as it clocked 2 years… Yami essayed the role of an intelligence officer in this Vicky Kaushal starrer movie. On this special occasion, Yami spoke to media and doled out many things about the movie and also said how things changed for her with this flick…

Yami spoke to media and said why is this movie special to her… "Feels great looking back at Pallavi from Uri today. It's been two years today and for me it was this film that changed a lot of things, in me as an actor and how the audience and certain directors looked at me an actor. Not just the physical transformation but also the strength that the character held and the versatility I got to portray."

She further added, "In that short span and knowing that it's going to be primarily about operation, for me it was Uri where it began all over once again for me. The kind of adulation I got from my first film, so forever in debt to Aditya, the audience, the Indian army and the entire team for making this film what it became".

Uri: The Surgical Strike movie is directed by Aditya Dhar and has Vicky Kaushal, Paresh Rawal, Kirti Kulhari and Mohit Raina in the important roles.

Speaking about Yami Gautam's work front, she will be next seen in 'Bhoot Police' movie. The movie is directed by director Pavan Kirpalani and bankrolled by Ramesh Taurani and Akshai Puri. Having an ensemble cast of Arjun Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Yami Gautam and Jacqueline, this horror-comedy flick has many expectations on it.
