Aamir Khan thanks Madhuri Dixit for stepping in for him in 'Toofan Alaya'

Aamir Khan who was unable to shoot for the third episode of 'Toofan Alaya' a Marathi show on the water situation in Maharashtra thanked Madhuri Dixit Nene for taking over his duties.

The actor on Thursday tweeted the link of the video and captioned it: "Thanks Madhuri Dixit Nene for stepping in for me. I made one request, she was up for it. Too sweet. Please watch. Love. a."

Madhuri in the episode taken on Aamir's role and works with his wife Kiran Rao and introduces and shared amazing stories from Maharastra who are working towards the state's water development. The weekly show 'Toofan Alaya' follows the problems and development of the water situation in the state and features a mix of Marathi film stars and people telling inspiring stories.

Aamir and Madhuri have previously worked together in films like Dil' and 'Deewana Mujh Sa Nahin' and more.

Aamir and Kiran are the successful founders of the Paani Foundation, a non-profit, a non-governmental organization that is active in the area of drought prevention and watershed management in Maharashtra.
