Anushka Sharma Opens Ups On Dividing Responsibilities Of Their Baby With Virat
It is already known that, Bollywood ace couple Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are expecting their first child. As the due date is in January, 2021, Virat took parenthood leaves and returned to Mumbai from Australia to stay with his wife. Off late, Anushka Sharma gave an interview to Vogue magazine and spoke all about her experiences in pregnancy…
Speaking about parenthood responsibilities, "For us, it's important that our child be raised with a very balanced outlook. It is all about shared duties. I am self-employed and I can decide when I am working if I do one or two films a year. In Virat's case, he plays round the year. What becomes important is the time we spend together as a family."
She added, "Conditioning is the most important role in how we see the world. I come from a progressive background, so that will always be a part of our home," she said. The actress added that love is an underlying factor in her home, adding that it is important to both the parents that their baby respects other people. "You have to create that value structure. We don't want to raise brats".
Speaking about the pregnancy cravings, Anushka Sharma doled out, "only toast and crackers for the first three months". Then she craved for vada pav and bhel puri which lasted only for a couple of months. She also doled out that, she chewed the doctor's brain with her research… "I am someone who likes to read a lot and research a great deal; I've chewed my doctor's brain."
This power couple also decided that, they are not going raise the child engaging on social media… "I think it's a decision your child should be able to take. No kid should be made to be more special than the other. It's hard enough for adults to deal with it. It's going to be difficult, but we intend to follow through."
Finally, this ace actress reminisced the initial days of her pregnancy and how she managed to hide it… It was during lockdown period and she was having a zoom call for Bulbbul promotions, "I quickly turned off my video and messaged my brother, who was also on the call, to stall them for ten minutes. If I had been on set or in a studio, everyone would have known."
